FileStar Document Management: Search and Retrieve

Now your users can work in Windows Explorer to access content in FileStar. Browse to any folder and file that is contained in FileStar with all of the security in place.
Users can also add new files directly from any application and Save To the FileStar drive letter. Update files on the fly for easy version control.
And best of all, you have all the control over the files that FileStar provides because we have built in a feature to ensure the new documents are properly indexed – including a friendly reminder.
With FileStar cloud workflow and document management software, you can perform powerful searches and retrieve documents from any smartphone, tablet or computer. And because FileStar was created with user efficiency top of mind, there are multiple methods of searching:
- Structured, database format searches based on drop down menus and filters
- Full text search which takes advantage of FileStar’s automated conversion of uploaded PDFs to searchable format
- Point and click interface for a hierarchy/folder based view of the system contents
All of these search methods are further customizable by allowing the user to filter the results by any of the returned columns of meta data. All search results are sortable by any column and all data can be exported to a spreadsheet or PDF so you can share the document inventory with others.
